Below is the Nomination Form. Please submit only one request at a time. If you feel an individual should be recognized in multiple categories, simply come back and submit another nomination.

Deadline to submit nominations is October 31, 2026.
Special note: SERVE Executive Director and Board of Directors are ineligible for these awards.
Award categories and Specific Nomination Criteria
The Homefront Hero Award (Family & Caregiver Support)
Recognizes an outstanding military spouse or caregiver who has demonstrated extraordinary resilience, dedication, and support to the military community.
- Must be a military spouse, caregiver, or immediate family member of a veteran.
- Must have demonstrated exceptional resilience during a family financial or medical crisis.
- Must actively advocate for the well-being of military families in the community.
The Community Sentinel Award (Civilian Volunteer)
Awarded to a dedicated civilian volunteer or local advocate who goes above and beyond to support and uplift veterans in your area.
- Must be a non-veteran volunteer who has dedicated at least 50 hours to SERVE.
- Must have directly impacted SERVE’s food pantry, resource distribution, or events.
- Must embody the spirit of selfless service to those who served.
The Corporate Pillar of Honor (Business Partner)
Given to a local business, employer, or corporate partner that actively hires veterans, offers exceptional military benefits, and champions veteran causes.
- Must be a business that provided significant financial backing, volunteers, or in-kind donations.
- Must actively promote SERVE’s mission within their corporate network.
- Must demonstrate veteran-friendly hiring or support policies.
The Peer-to-Peer Champion (Veteran Mentorship)
Recognizes a veteran within your non-profit’s network who consistently steps up to mentor, guide, and support other veterans through their personal or professional transitions.
- Must be a veteran within the SERVE network.
- Must consistently mentor peers facing financial, emotional, or transitional hardships.
- Must act as a direct bridge connecting struggling veterans to SERVE’s resources.
The Legacy of Service Award (Lifetime Achievement)
A lifetime achievement award for a veteran who has dedicated decades of their post-service life to philanthropy, advocacy, and uplifting their fellow service members.
- Must be a veteran with 10+ years of post-service community advocacy.
- Must have made a measurable, long-term impact on veteran resource availability.
- Must serve as a role model for generational veteran support.
